Strange today. Obvious tomorrow.

Hi, I’m Tara. I run Strange Ventures, a first-check fund at the frontier of computing. I spend my days inside founder conversations, labs, and technical architectures that most people won't hear about for another 12 to 18 months.

The Strange Review is where I share what I’m seeing before it becomes consensus.

About me

I spot what’s coming before it’s obvious, and I help founders turn it into something the market can’t ignore. I’ve been doing it since 2012, from leading design and marketing at an MIT spin-out, and investing in frontier technology at IDEO. I did Computational Design at Harvard, where we built all sorts of things, from interfaces to materials, through code. Before all of that, I was briefly a journalist, and toured the world building large-scale interactive installations.

Now I do it as an investor. At Strange, we go full stack, investing from infrastructure to interface. We believe that better experiences demand better infrastructure, and better infrastructure drives better experiences.
